Starting his career in wine retail in the UK, Simon Ford opened the highly-praised Koba cocktail bar in Brighton in 2002 before eventually moving on to spirits marketing, where he served as brand ambassador for respected spirits brands like Plymouth Gin. Over his 20-year long career, Ford has been featured in countless publications including The New York Times, Forbes, Harper’s Bazaar, The Wall Street Journal, Men’s Health, PUNCH and Liquor.com, among many others. He is revered as a leading voice of the bar and cocktail scene and is the recipient of many accolades, including two-time Best Brand Ambassador from the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards for his standout work on Plymouth Gin. He then held the role of chairman for the conference’s awards and co-hosted for several years, continuing to play an integral role in its growth.

Join us for this PCW2024 Bar Banters session featuring Simon Ford, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Fords Gin, hosted by Nicholas Ng, journalist and founder of Tipple.my and Food For Thought, as we explore the subject of "Crafting A Global Cocktail Career" where we discuss Simon's journey in the bartending and cocktail industry — from bartending to brand ambassadorship to being a brand owner of his very own Fords Gin.

Entry to this PCW2024 Bar Banters session is free but ticketed and subject to seating availability.
